As parents and grandparents, we want what is best for our children. We spend time with them, answering their questions, helping them develop the kind of character that will help them become better little people on their way to becoming adults. We encourage them to internalize the kind of morals and character that can help them live successful lives and have beautiful families.
Empower your child's spiritual journey.
Teaching our children to pray can help them develop their own personal relationship with God. There are many ways to teach children to pray. We can do so through example, discussion, craft projects, and other child friendly endeavors. We can pray with them and ask them what they want to pray for.
Several resources are available to help parents as they strive to offer the right instruction during the right teaching moments. The United Church God has produced several short films which focus on teaching subjects in a fun way, including songs to sing and lessons to learn. Jelly, the main character, asks some of the same questions your children might be asking.
Jelly has become a favorite for many children as they learn about God through his unique look at life and the world around him.
Below is one of the videos which teaches children how to pray.
