Unleavened Bread is Eaten During the Passover

Sometimes it can seem as if the world is going mad. You don’t have to look very far to see the lack of love taking hold in society as it is replaced by an underlying feeling of hatred and lack of care for others. Where has all the love gone? Where are the examples of the power of faith? Where are those who are seeking God and connecting with Him?

From school shootings to road rage, from domestic violence to child abuse, from rape and murder to infanticide, evil is all around us and it is growing. Young men are walking the streets of New York City and randomly attacking women, knocking them to the ground and in some cases causes them to lose consciousness.

Have you asked yourself why these things are happening? Where has the love gone?

In the end times, which it seems we have now entered, there will be a change in the way people act and interact with one another. There will be fewer heroes in our midst and more violence.

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers, of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! II Tim 3:1-6

There seems to be no better description of the world today than this scripture.

If we look a little closer, we can find what is missing. Love can be found. It might not be as prominent in the last days, but it will be there and it will be something those who witness in action cannot deny.

Where can we find that love?

It was the last Passover Jesus would take before He was crucified for us. He had eaten the meal and washed the feet of his disciples. Judas had left and was about to betray Him. But His thoughts were for those who were left in the room and all those who would follow Him down through the ages. He began to speak to his disciples.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

Where has all the love gone? It is right here; it is in those who will keep this commandment. It is in those who follow Him and love one another.

It will be seen by those who witness that love in action and it is by that love His disciples today and forever, will be known. Even to the very end, when things might seem darkest, there will always be light. He is the light, and He shines through darkness. It is through Him working with those who love Him that we see the power of faith. Become a part of that light. Follow Him, His teachings, His ways, and love one another in a way that leaves no doubt about who you are. Love one another as He has loved us.

Cherish the Journey!
